Diarmaid L. Fawsitt (J.L Fawsitt)
The personal archive of Diarmaid Fawsitt was donated to the Cork Archives in 2019. Fawsitt was from the Blarney Street area of Cork City and was a founder member of the Cork Industrial Development Association and the Irish Volunteers. He was a friend and comrade of Tomas MacCurtain and Michael Collins, and was later a Dáil Éireann consul in New York, a civil servant and an advisor in the Anglo-Irish Treaty negotiations.
